So we worked up this little guy,
a knock off of this little guy...

This was SO easy to make, we got out the cricut
(yeah I still have my trusty little guy (you know the one that only cuts 6x12, sad I know right?)
We decided on our color scheme and decided to go a little brighter and not so much pastel
Then it came time to find my image. I found my images, turned them into SVG file and then used SCAL to set everything up to cut out.
Once they were cut we set up our pattern and set up the sewing machine!
We started sewing * and spaced each shape about .5 in apart and just kept going till we ran out (we have 7 of each design 3 shapes with 2 colors for each)
Then it came time for a little sparkle!!! I had planned on using spray adhesive, but we ended up using mod podge (a little more child friendly) and then sprinkling iridescent glitter quite liberally!
Let dry…
don't mind the mess ;) |
Hang and admire you amazing knock off!!!
*when sewing make sure you tend to stay a little more towards the TOP of the shape than the middle so that you shapes don’t want to hang upside down \’’/
How cute would this be all all eggs???
